Hava sanayii ile ilgili ilk giri\u015fim, bir gayrim\u00fcslim Osmanl\u0131 vatanda\u015f\u0131n\u0131n, \u0130stanbul\u2019da bir \u201ctayyare mektebi ve fabrikas\u0131\u201d kurma ile ilgili teklifinin de\u011ferlendirilmesinin yap\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 5 Mart 1912 tarihli muht\u0131rad\u0131r. Ayn\u0131 tarihte, bir Frans\u0131z firmas\u0131 da, bir mektep ve fabrika kurma teklifi verir. Mektep, Osmanl\u0131 Devletinin son d\u00f6nemine kadar T\u00fcrk havac\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131n merkezi konumundad\u0131r. D\u00fcnya sava\u015f\u0131n\u0131n ard\u0131ndan T\u00fcrk Havac\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131, yeniden yok seviyesine inecektir.<\/div>\n<div>Kurtulu\u015f sava\u015f\u0131, \u00fclkede k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck bir at\u00f6lye dahi bulunmad\u0131\u011f\u0131ndan, eldeki birka\u00e7 tayyareyle, kanat bezi yap\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131c\u0131s\u0131n\u0131n dahi olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 bir ortamda b\u00fcy\u00fck \u00f6zverilerle u\u00e7ularak kazan\u0131labilmi\u015ftir. Kayseri\u2019dekinin te\u015fkilat\u0131 tamamland\u0131. Ortaklar\u0131n kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131kl\u0131 hat\u00e2lar\u0131 nedeniyle kurulu\u015fundan sonra bir varl\u0131k g\u00f6steremeden, \u015firketin iflas ettirildi\u011fi a\u00e7\u0131kland\u0131. Fabrika bundan b\u00f6yle, Kayseri Tayyare Fabrikas\u0131 ad\u0131 alt\u0131nda \u00fcretime devam etti.<\/div>\n<div>1936\u2019da T\u00fcrk Hava Kurumu, Ankara Akk\u00f6pr\u00fc\u2019de kurdu\u011fu marangoz at\u00f6lyelerinde plan\u00f6r \u00fcretimine ba\u015flad\u0131.1937 y\u0131l\u0131nda ise, i\u015f adam\u0131 ve y\u00fcklenici Nuri DEM\u0130RA\u011e, Be\u015fikta\u015f Hayrettin \u0130skelesinde kurdu\u011fu at\u00f6lyede tayyare imalat\u0131na ba\u015flad\u0131. Biraz sonra at\u00f6lyeyi geni\u015fleterek fabrikaya d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcrd\u00fc. Hemen ard\u0131ndan Ye\u015filk\u00f6y\u2019de bug\u00fcnk\u00fc Atat\u00fcrk Havaliman\u0131\u2019n\u0131n oldu\u011fu yerde, G\u00f6k U\u00e7u\u015f Okulu Kompleksini kurdu. THK\u2019na yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 u\u00e7aklar 1939\u2019da ikinci defa reddedilince dar bo\u011faza d\u00fc\u015fen DEM\u0130RA\u011e, 1944 senesine kadar \u00fcretimine ve u\u00e7u\u015f okulu faaliyetlerine devam etmi\u015f fakat bu y\u0131l, h\u00fck\u00fcmetin havaalan\u0131 in\u015faat\u0131 gerek\u00e7esiyle ald\u0131\u011f\u0131 istiml\u00e2k karar\u0131yla faaliyetleri \u00f6nlenmi\u015ftir.<\/div>\n<div>\u0130kinci D\u00fcnya Sava\u015f\u0131\u2019n\u0131n ba\u015flamas\u0131yla 1940 y\u0131l\u0131nda THK\u2019nin, Etimesgut\u2019ta bir u\u00e7ak fabrikas\u0131 kurmas\u0131na karar verilir. Bu fabrikan\u0131n ard\u0131ndan 1948\u2019de, THK Gazi Tayyare Motoru Fabrikas\u0131 ve 1950\u2019de Ankara R\u00fczg\u00e2r T\u00fcneli hizmete girer.<\/div>\n<div>Truman Doktrini \u00e7er\u00e7evesinde Nisan 1948\u2019de, ABD taraf\u0131ndan TSK\u2019ne, elinde mevcut olanlardan daha modern 540 adet u\u00e7ak teslim edildi\u011finden, bu fabrikalara ilgi tamamen ortadan kalkm\u0131\u015f ve yerli sanayi giri\u015fimleri bu tarihten sonra hor g\u00f6r\u00fclmeye ba\u015flanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. 18 Haziran 1952 tarihinde, bu fabrikalar kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131klar\u0131 THK\u2019ye \u00f6denmek suretiyle, o zamanki ad\u0131 Asker\u00ee Fabrikalar Genel M\u00fcd\u00fcrl\u00fc\u011f\u00fc olan MKEK\u2019 ye sat\u0131l\u0131rlar. MKEK, i\u015fi ciddiyetle ele alm\u0131\u015f, THK\u2019nin ilk \u00f6rnek \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n\u0131 yeni isimler alt\u0131nda geli\u015ftirerek \u00fcretmi\u015f ve faaliyetlerine 1959 y\u0131l\u0131na kadar devam etmi\u015ftir.
